We scan our patients using the latest Optomap Imaging System. This amazing technology captures more than 80% of your retina in one panoramic image and gives our doctors a comprehensive, ultra-widefield view that is not possible with traditional imaging methods.
Another huge benefit is that the Optomap may also be able to detect other health issues based on what we see in your eye.
Your retina is the only place in the body where you can see blood vessels . Which means signs of other diseases (e.g. stroke, heart disease, etc) can be seen in the retina. Early detection is essential so treatments can be more effective.
